In this project, my collaborators and I examined how core-self evaluations may differ between East and South Asians since core-self evaluations have been found to be an important predictor for leadership outcomes. Here, we found that South Asian men have significantly higher core-self evaluations than East Asian men, East Asian women and South Asian women. Our findings suggests there needs to be an intersectional approach when we look at leadership for East and South Asians and Asians should not be looked at as a homogenous group as it often is in the literature. This work was presented at the annual conference for Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
