My name is Joe and I am mixed-methods researcher with 7+ years of experience in transforming data into insights.

What makes a good leader? What biases do we have when we percieve people in leadership positions? How can we enhance student learning via online tools and software? How does socioeconomic status and political identity affect the way we think and percieve the world?

I use both quantitative (e.g., experiments, surveys) and qualitative research methods (e.g., semi-structure interviews) to answer these questions. I have experience with experimental design, survey, A/B testing (traditional and adaptive), multivariate statistical analyses, data visualization and programming. I have given lectures for courses at the University of Toronto and my research has been presented at 10+ academic conferences (e.g., Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology).

I am currently looking to leverage my experience in the UX space. If you are interested, a selection of work done between 2016-2024 can be found here. Full resume here.

I also do digital art for fun and I like to document places that I’ve enjoyed eating at.
